Vintage or Present Day Racing?

The interest in Vintage Racing has provided the older car with events running against other old cars.  Next year Veloce Imports will be running Joe Perry's 1965 G.4 Ginetta in selected Vintage events as well as assisting Eric Krueger with his SCCA National MGB.
    

Vintage Race Prep presents a different set of problems than a standard restoration as it involves much more work but the final product has the same appearance, with the perform at a much higher level. 

We now have 2 The Ginetta G.4s, both with 1500cc prep-Xflow engine and will often required to run against TransAms and 6 cylinder Porsche as well as Lotus 23s and other sports racers.  Both of the G.4s were imported by Competition Car Engineering in Bradford, MA in the mid-60's of the 14 imported into the USA as new cars, that's about 15% 

The first G.4 Ginetta project was received with not even a nut and bolt screwed together, the positive side is nothing had to be taken apart as removing rusted nuts and bolts from a rusted body or chassis can be extremely time consuming.

The second G.4 Ginetta was the Ex-Monty Wells 1966 Championship Car.  Now owned by Ned Vadakin.  We will be posting picturers of both projects soon.
